Vigor
The Vigor is a newsletter published by The TI Retiree Club of Houston for the benefit of the membership. The bi-monthly issues are published for Dec/Jan, Feb/Mar, Apr/May, Jun/Jul, Aug/Sep and Oct/Nov of each year. A copy is mailed to each clubmember's home address or email address.
However, with the high cost of postage and in an effort to hold down our membership fee to only $10 per year, we are encouraging those with DSL or Cable internet connections to subscribe to the eVigor, which is emailed to you as an attachment that can be viewed on your computer or printed on your printer.
The eVigor is a C O L O R version of the black-and-white Vigor that is mailed.
If you have never belonged to the TIRET Club but are an ex-Ti'er or current TI employee eligible for membership and would like a complimentary issue mailed to you, contact Daryl Moss using this link.
If you have news to report for inclusion in the next issue of the Vigor, use the "Green Tab" at the left to email your information.
A Fond Farewell to Vigor Reporter/Editor/Publisher Don & Lynn Stefan!
As many of you may know, the June/July Vigor was the last issue that Lynn & Don Stefan were totally involved in.
Since the Vigor's inception in 1996, Lynn and Don Stefan have been, via the Vigor, the "face" of the TI Retiree Club of Houston (TIRET) to the many retirees that are not able to participate in Club activities on a regular basis. Their efforts over the past years publishing the bi-monthly newsletter provided the essential "glue" that held the Club together through its ups and downs. Their reporting of Club activities kept the membership connected over the years. You could always count on Lynn & Don to be present and active workers in every Club event, such as the TI BBQ and Potluck Dinner & Bingo Night, where Lynn brought countless gifts and Don was our jovial Bingo caller. Lynn ran our Sunshine Committee -- we hope that she will be able to continue in that capacity after they get settled in the new home. When she found out that a member was sick, passed away or lost a loved one, you could count on them getting a card from the club. Their tireless dedication to the Club, even through personal health issues, is an inspiration to all of us that remain active in the Club.
While Lynn and Don won't be leaving the Club membership, they are moving to The Woodlands area and won't be able to be actively involved in the Vigor publication as before. Daryl Moss, who has been technical advisor, will be taking over editing and publishing from the Stefans. We hope that Lynn and Don will still be able to act as our "Northside Reporters."
Lynn & Don, May God Bless You. You take the grateful thanks of all the members through the years that have enjoyed your compassion and wit via the Vigor.
